Sushi as Japanese food

Now, Nigiri is another of those Japanese food dishes that people love. Nigiri is elongated rice piles in which a fish leaf or fillet or other ingredient is placed on top.
Although sushi is one of the best-known products, if we talk about Japanese food, the truth is that Japanese cuisine has many other delicious dishes that are also spreading in the West. Moreover, not all Japanese food is sushi.
Other typical dishes of Japanese food
Takoyaki is one of the most unknown Japanese dishes in our western culture. There are balls of wheat flour and octopus, roasted and accompanied by ginger and seaweed.
This dish is one of the most Japanese in reality, that is, of those that we can find in the streets of the cities of Japan in general. It consists of a dough that is added to the ingredients cooked on the grill. There is no single formula, but each one can add the ingredients that they like the most.
In fact, the word in Japanese means something like “cooking to taste” (economy, flavor, yaki, cooking the grill). Therefore, it’s an open recipe that we can add from meat to fish, to vegetables.
Gyozas are Japanese cakes that are cooked on the grill or fried and filled with various ingredients, such as chicken, pork, seafood or vegetables.
